Working with counsel
Instructing David: direct access and solicitor instructions
Approach David directly for appropriate non-contentious advice, or instruct him through your solicitor for disputes and litigation.
Make an enquiryYou can start with a direct enquiry
You can contact David directly about appropriate non-contentious legal advice. If your matter is already contentious, or becomes contentious, a solicitor will need to be retained. David can recommend a suitable law firm to instruct him; the choice of solicitor remains yours.
Direct access for non-contentious advice
Individuals and businesses may enquire directly about appropriate advisory work, including understanding contractual obligations, reviewing a proposed agreement or obtaining advice before a dispute has arisen. Whether the work is suitable for direct access depends on its nature and circumstances.
If a dispute develops
David will explain when a solicitor needs to become involved. If you do not already have one, he can recommend a suitable firm. Once that firm has agreed to act and instruct him, David can continue as counsel, subject to availability, conflicts and the agreed scope of work.
Already have a solicitor?
